Comparing CMP’s Special Grade to
DGR’s Standard Grade builds
CMP’s estimated delivery time
is 60 days.
DGR’s estimated delivery time is 30-40 days.
CMP’s stock set comes from
Dupage and has no additional fitting done, no
additional sanding or staining.
DGR also uses the Dupage stock sets, but have
additional fitting to improve the rifles accuracy
and function. DGR’s stock sets are sanded down to
220 grit for a uniform appearance and are stained
and then oiled. With DGR the customer has the
choice of red or brown stain. DGR also offers
other stock sets of higher-grade wood, different
manufacture (Wenig) and different finishes.
CMP advertises “new production
barrel” which at this time is the Criterion
military contoured barrel.
DGR
also uses the Criterion military contoured barrel,
but offers the customer other choices in barrel
manufacture.
CMP advertises that “receiver
and most other parts are refinished USGI, but some
parts may be new manufacture”.
DGR’s metal, even new parts will get DGR’s
Mil-Spec Parkerizing finish (with the exception of
the stainless steel part which get a baked on
finish). Our Parkerizing will not be over 60
years old and colors will closely match.
Other advantages of a DGR M1.

DGR uses rebuilt op
rods to assure against the rifle failure to
function. This is a vital part of the
gas-operated rifle and should be in like new
condition to assure function for a long time.

springs.
